EFDSS and Queer Folk present a stripped back solo performance from Burd Ellen, with support from Holly Clarke.
About Burd Ellen
Burd Ellen is a project featuring Debbie Armour and Gayle Brogan. The group uses traditional song to explore and evoke dark landscapes and deep stories. Debbie Armour will be performing a rare solo date, presenting stripped back versions of Burd Ellen material and more from her extensive traditional song repertoire.

About Holly Clarke
Holly Clarke is a singer who draws from the old ballads and stories, conjuring a performance that immediately captivates any listener. From songs of the supernatural and folklore, to tales of love and loss, Holly sings with an infectious energy and passion for traditional song.
Rising in popularity among folk audiences and performing with the likes of Nancy Kerr and James Fagan and Queer Folk, Holly has made a name for herself as a powerful singer and accomplished guitar player, performing at festivals and venues such as Sage Gateshead, Sidmouth Folk Festival, Bromyard Folk Festival, Tiree Music Festival, The Fire Station Sunderland and many more.
As well as performing solo, Holly has a duo with George Sansome (Granny’s Attic) and also gigs with her trio ‘Holly and the Reivers’, with whom she supported the legendary Billy Bragg at Folk on the Tyne Festival.
