MELROSE QUARTET – “MAKE THE WORLD ANEW” ALBUM LAUNCH CONCERT
Join the band as they perform to a live audience in St Andrew’s Church, Sheffield, launching their eagerly-anticipated fourth album “Make The World Anew”. This album sees the band take their beloved four-part harmony arrangements to a new level. Expect powerful, uplifting songs alongside beautiful instrumentals showcasing the band’s deep roots in traditional dance music. Melrose Quartet continue to mix their own newly written songs and tunes with compelling traditional material and songs by some of their very favourite writers. Running through the new album are themes of hope, friendship, renewal, a voice for the disempowered, and celebrations of working people.
From deep roots in their hometown’s vibrant music, song and dance scene, to smashing concert appearances in the UK and abroad, Sheffield-based Melrose Quartet have attracted a reputation for making music that truly connects with people. The band is made up of Nancy Kerr, James Fagan and Richard & Jess Arrowsmith. All four are internationally renowned singers, instrumentalists, writer/composers and teachers.
This hybrid gig is being held at St Andrew’s Church, Psalter Lane, Sheffield, so you can go along in person or watch online. Tickets to watch in person are available from the Live At Sam’s website here.
